Even if you tell cheaptickets or whomever....and tell the young ladies at check-in of your miles number...KEEP YOUR BOARDING PASSES.....if you get screwed...these are the only items that China will accept to correct the miles...and of course send copies and keep originals

Very good point upena. Air Canada screwed me out of my miles from Hong Kong to Edmonton that way even though I was credited with my miles on Thai from Bangkok to Hong Kong.

I always book EVA via ebookers and always get the miles. If you book on the PHONE with them they will wort the miles out for you.

 

I THINK EVA has a time limit on the validation fo the airmiles though so you really DO need to be a "frequent" flier to make it worthwhile. If you are not its probably worth just looking for the cheapest fare. No point paying over the odds just to get miles if you can never use them.

The trick is to keep ALL your boarding passes and tickets. Even if you are turned down, I never had a problem submitting all required records (ex Boarding passes) to your own airlines customer service to credit your milage. But must do so within a year (deadline).

Note: dont always expect to get 100% mileage credit as the class of tickets you bought dictates how much mileage you are entitled to.

ex: Y class=unrestricted economy fare gets 100% miles

H/M/S class=and all super savers class may vary from 0 miles to 70% etc.

1st class=gets double miles on some airlines
