COME ON AUSSIE COM ON.

I have never been a soccer fan,but the world cup is something esle,

heart ,drive, and skill,and the aussies have the lot.great game last night.

and the one team i would like the see them beat ,is the italians.

Who would have guessed that the Aussies would make it through the first round? Certainly has surprised me! It will be good for the game in Australia. Perhaps one day we may get revenge for the last ashes series... (Before any of you Poms jump down my throat that was said with tongue in cheek.)

Australia has never been one of the best soccer nations so that outcome (2-2 against Croatia) was expected. And of course has no chance against Italy.

 

England hasn't won over Sweden for 38 years (last time 1968).

 

Sweden is good but will lose against Germany (last time Sweden won over Germany was 1958).

 

And World Cup is not over - it just started after eliminating some not so good nations........

I take it Australia play Italy in the next round?

 

Italy aren't that great at the moment and whilst they must be favourites, Australia must have a chance of causing an upset.
