Hi again. Everyone here was so helpful, i though i'd push my luck with another question already! I've read on various sites that the Areca Loadge is 100% non-smoking???? That true? Shame, I fancy the place

You can smoke there, but they charge you 500B each day they smell smoke in the room. They do have a small balcony outside of each room that is adequate for smoking if you want.

It`s one of the more popular hotels in Pattaya so i guess the non smoking policy is good for business.

You can smoke on the balancy , but not in the room , It seem common practise with a few new hotels

Its great not to be in a hotel where the rooms, toilet, pool area is polluted by cig smell. Thats one of the reaons i keep going back to Areca. EXCELLENT!!!!

Ive stayed there 5 times,you can smoke everywhere,pools,lobby,bar areas, even the restarant has smoking and non smoking tables.

 

Smoking in the room itself is not permitted,but is allowed on the balcony and ash trays are supplied for that purpose.
