Holiday flights

I am trying to book a flight either right after christmas or right after New Years......it seems that all of the airlines are 300-400 USD higher than any other time.....Will the prices eventually come down or should I go ahead and book now? I never travel to LOS during the holidays, so I'm not sure which way to go, any help out there?

I think it all depends how the situation in the middle east turns out, the cost of crude is sky high at the minute so the airlines have to pass the cost on to the mugs...sorry customers!!!

Traditionally prices have dropped after January 15. Beats the hell out of me with the gas prices so high what will happen.

Im starting to look for flights now for November flying from Manchester,

ITHAD prices are about £500 .think i will view other companies and book my flight

before end of week .

My flight costs this July was only £380 ,so I booked straight away when I saw this as I knew it was a great price

Along with the higher fuel prices people are flying in record numbers. We've been spoiled with low prices the last few years with 9-11, SARS, bird flu and the Iraq war when fewer were flying. I use my miles during the summer and December/January timeframes when the airlines raise their prices.

I decided to go ahead and buy now.....got me a flight from CVG-BKK on Delta/EVA...the cheapest I could find.....flying out 31 Dec late at night so hopefully, I'll get to sleep a bit......any comments on EVA's economy section? Good, or bad????
