Suvarnabhumi four part video

Recommended Posts

It is amazing when one is on an aircraft where passengers applaud once the aircraft touches down, there is still a lot can go wrong.

There is a video on the same forum as the Orient thai flight where a bizjet over runs the runway and finishes up in the harbour. :D

The pax went to the terminal in a boat :D

As you probably know, there are going to be no taxis from the arrivals terminal at the new airport in Bangkok.

You will have to get a shuttle bus 3km or so to the taxi departure area in order to get one.

I would like to know 3 things:

1) Does this mean that you'll still be able to go to the departures drop-off area and grab one that's just dropped someone off?

If this is the case, and people cotton-on to it, it's going to be a mad-house up there.

2) Does this mean it will be easier for newby tourists to be scammed at the new airport? Apparently there are still limos and "private" cars available from the arrivals area, but not regular taxis. If this is the case, it will be so easy for these sharks to say to new arrivals, "No taxis from this airport, this is only taxi, you have to book here... look outside... no have taxi from here!"

3) Will the 50B airport surcharge still be in place? Will it be higher? Will it be scrapped? And will they use meters from the new airport or will it just be flat-rate?
