EVA Evergreen Deluxe Seat

Recommended Posts

I made my second trip to LOS on EVA this month and whilst I was completely satisfied with my first experience this past March, I encountered a problem that I believe has been previously addressed but which I did not believe, until now.

dxstudent and I caught the San Francisco to Taipei leg of the trek and had great seats on a 747-400-plenty of leg room, good seat pitch and the foot rest that pulls away from the chair was easy on the legs-great flight indeed.

However, on the Taipei to BKK leg we boarded a 777 and we found the seats to be smaller, with less pitch and, most annoying of all, the foot rest just was not the same same as on the 747. Fortunately, this leg of the journey is only 3+ hours and was not a major inconvenience.

However, if EVA retires their aging 747's and opts to go with the 777's, I will probably not fly this class or this carrier in the future.

Rgds, Jimmy

I agree that if EVA retires its 747 fleet, I will retire from flying EVA. I will put up with the cramped 777 seats for the leg from Taipei to Bangkok, but not over the Pacific. When I book on EVA, I have really been paying attention to the aircraft type. More and more 777 flights are slipping into their schedule from the US to Asia.

Hi,

I believe Eva are buying some new Airbus A380's to replace the old jumbo's so you will have more space and legroom in the future when they come on stream.

EVA switched to 777s on the LHR - BKK route some time ago and Evergreen class was replaced with a new name. Its never been the same

Hi,

I believe Eva are buying the new Airbus (A380) to operate this route when they become available. It has much more space and legroom and may have bars and casino's on board. :drunk :clap2

I thought that the Airbus co. was having trouble fulfilling orders. That's why Fedex left them hanging because they couldnt produce the aircraft in time. I flew on the A380...a bit disappointed. When I fly overseas, I fly Singapore if possible...best airline bar none.

Wacky, WHERE do you get your mis-information? Simply not true. EVA has not ordered the A380.

Did you fly on a test flight? :clueless

The A380 has not entered commercial service and probably won't until this time next year.
