Anyone got any info on travelling Boxing Day for a 5 day whirlwind trip returning 1st Jan. I'm after info on who to book with, when to look for deals, airlines etc. If I can grab a cheap flight for £500 I'm wheels up

 

Any help/ideas would be appreciated.

That seems a good price - although Thai Air has had some bad reviews lately.

 

I think we have seen the last of the very mild days and it can only get colder and more depressing over the next two months

Cheapest Airline Network, out of London is £1010 on etihad so go for thai ??

Well, its all done and a big thanks/advert for WESTEAST TRAVEL.

 

Had 2 options for 26th Dec - 1st Jan and took the better flight time which cost me an extra £35. But I was offered £710 return, Direct flight with THAI. I payed £745 to dep LHR 1150 arr BKK 0610 Dep 1st Jan 1350 arr LHR 1935hrs. The person who boked it was shocked that flights were still available...........so the message is get on the phone and have a go.

I booked my flight several months ago for $1300. Can not get it less than $3000 now. Even if I could sell my seat to the highest bidder, I couldn't bare to do it! Happy Holidays to all

Just checked out Oasis, LGW-HKG return, £479 on those dates, plus probably another 200 for BKK-HKG rtn.

For UK guys when all hope is lost, try this last roll of the dice.

A bit of fucking about I know but you can get the ferry in HKG to Macau and a low cost airline flies to Bangkok.

Back in April/May Etihad had flights ex Gatwick/Manchester over the Christmas/New Year period for £400.00

incl tax ! Always pays to book in advance for Christmas/New Year.
