Cheap Accomodation 7000baht/14000baht monthly?

Recommended Posts

Well after shelling out a grand total of £950 to my Dermatoligist :D :D I'm feeling a little more optimistic of making it in June...........hopefully I've turned the corner :clap2 ...........but I've decided the dosh must come out of my holiday budget, therefore, if I do make it, I must learn to slum it <grin

So I'd really appreciate some links, or suggestions from some of you expericenced, seasoned mongers. This information will also help others.

Don't mind where, as long as reasonably safe, accomodation must have in room safe, decent shower/bathroom/balcony/air conditioning/large fridge/clean and not smell. Security would also be nice :D

Apartments/Condo's/Rooms

Thanks

Group of expat hang out on soi 8. The corner bar on the right side of Soi 8 on Beach Road. They get together around 3-4PM. They have a table that faces Beach Road. They would know where you can rent a cheap apartment. Tell them Denny sent you.

When I mentioned "cheap apartment" I'm looking at the low end (natch) around 7K.

Yensabai condos should fit the bill at around Bt8k per month. Have a word with hammer as I think his is fairly well priced. Must be somewhere around Soi Buakhow for around Bt6-8k. I know the Diana Group are advertising some next to the driving range starting at Bt7k per month.

Cheap end hotels will also foot the bill.

Found this re: Yensabai condos

The ones at 7200/7900baht looks acceptable - at that price one can bugger off exploring other areas of LOS and not worry about wasted rent!

I've stayed at the Yensabai Condo couple of times and it's excellent value for the money. In room safe, 25" TV, huge room, swimming pool. Only thing I didn't like was the walk to Walking Street in the sun. BTW it's a 12 minute walk to Walking Street.

I can't help but notice this web site says the prices are "as of June 2003". It's already 2007.

Just a caution - be sure you know what you're getting for your money :allright

Friend rented an apt. on Soi 4 but - for whatever reason - did not realize that he'd have to buy sheets, towels, duvet, fan, waste basket etc, etc, for his stay :D

If you dont ride a motorbike, check out the transport situation. you might get a cheaper rent and then paying out a lot of money (or using a lot of shoe leather) to get to and from your regular haunts. also some places have minimum stays or you dont get your deposit back, so ask the right questions.

I had a look at this place while in Pattaya, good rooms, they had a monthly rate but forgot what it was

jn mansion

A good option I have found is to book your first 2 night at a hotel or guesthouse then of a day walk around you will see "room for rent" signs everywhere. go back of an evening before you decide on where to stay as sometimes that quiet little building next door may turn into a Thai Karaoke building until 4 am :allright
