I don't know about the rooms. But they do have wi-fi and the food there is pretty good.

Stayed there last summer for about 5 weeks. The rooms were fine. Big bed, safe, good priced mini bar, air con, separate toilet and shower room. Big TV and dvd player. Haven't seen the new rooms in the new building but I would imagine they would be along the same lines.

Dave and Ron who run the place are top fellas and really helpful, although I think Ron may have gone back to the UK. The food is great also and the breakfast is fantastic!

I will be returning in three months all being well and shall be staying here for most the time.

Hope this helps

John

In the old building there was a lockable door up to the rooms which could be accessed 24 hours a day, I guess a similar system will operate in the new building.

Also I found no problem with the food. The breakfasts are great!

I tried the food one time (fish and chips) and it was disgusting.

It looked like they had used very old black cooking oil and i have never returned.

Hummmmm...... I had the fish and chips there a number of times last year and that wasn't my experience at all.

Seemed tasty to me and a good value under 100 baht.

I would have talked to Dave the proprietor about it while you were there. He's very responsive to suggestion from my experience and a decent sort of guy to chat with.

Free wifi and a computer there to use as well if you like.

Book store/exchange on the premises as well:

these were taken last September right after they moved across the street to the new location (the signs weren't all in place yet!):

Their breakfasts are top value IMO.

Just realised how old this thread was, well still here and going strong.

I just noticed how old the OP was. I'm back the end of June and was gonna look for your 'new' location across the steet for a breadfast. Ate there my last two trips and thought food was fine.

Glad to hear the books are coming down in price, how's the mobile library going?

I'd say the only problem there is that he has a high turn over of staff so they're not always up to scratch.

As far as the food goes i eat there regular when in town and only had 1 bad experience, but i think you can say that about most places you go to regular.

It's in a great spot to have a brew or 2 read the paper and watch the world go by.

IMO. Rob,see you next week Dave.

Had the F&C at least four times during my May visit. The best value deal in Pattaya IMHO. Taste was great and consistent....
