Sunshine vista serviced apartments Guest Fee??

Recommended Posts

Stayed at SSV for 8 nights in May. I was asked to pay 100 baht for each Guest I brought to my room. I requested a receipt for that but no one was interested to issue one. Just wondered If it was only me or has it happened to any other customer!!! Previous reviews says it is guest friendly !!!

Thanks.

They have changed their policy AND room pricing structure. I stayed there many times albeit a while ago and the rooms were reasonably priced and no guests fee (was booked online at res24.com ) ...since then the prices have sky-rocketed in my opinion and no longer constitute value for money.

I stayed there a few times a while ago, they never used to charge for guests but I guess this is a new poilcy. They have put the prices of the rooms up in the last two years and you would be better off going somewhere else than paying it. Plenty of places around with better rooms and much cheaper. I will not be staying there again.

100 B? Most places that charge a "joiner" fee charge considerably more. Could be it is just a scam run by the night staff/security people. Challenge the fee with the hotel manager. If the fee is now policy...MOVE! Have never paid a joiner fee, and never will. Each time it was tried on me I refused to pay and found it was a scam.

You could tell them to put it on your bill. Check the next day and see if they added it. One thing I do is always book a double.

When I stayed the one and only time also booked through res 24.

In the room rate list it showed say standard room 900 B. single /1000 B double.

There is the 100 B that apparently they are now enforceing.

cheers

Prices now are (res24.com):

Superior single 1000 Bt

Superior twin 1150 Bt

Deluxe single 1150 Bt

Deluxe double 1300 Bt

So, chances are the guest fee would be 150 Bt right now.

This way a guest fee is not irregular IMO. They should put it on the bill though. If not probably a scam.

  • 2 weeks later...

Staying there now...it is anew policy but if you book a double they do not charge. Not a scam they will add the fee to your bill.
