accidently strayed upon this place when I was wandering around Jomtien on my recent trip, it located on the road leading down to the beach on the right hand side, for any UK guys that like their fish and chips it is highly recommended, good crispy fish and nice chips with mushy peas, it was great,

Do you mean Simple Simon on the left side of Soi 5 just off Jomtien Beach Road. They have very good Fish & Chips indeed. You don't have to be a UK guy to appreciate good Fish & Chips. :D

I was talking with the new partner of the 'Hide-a-way' bar in Jomtien last night and happened to mention 'Simons Fish & Chips'. Apparently it's a 'chain' that opening up over town.

I had the 'Large Icelandic Cod' with Mushy Peas, Chips and Curry (weird I know!).

All I can say is ......... the curry was ok.

Not Soi 5 but at the Jomtien Complex.

Never eaten there but I just recall a hilarious mano a mano between a Yank customer and the owner on a thaivisa.com thread awhile back. Yank loved the chips but was banned for life after getting into an argument with the owner over the use of a coupon for a free beer - seems the coupon had expired, but didn't have an expiry date on it or........... ;) something

Maybe the best in town but you need to taste the chips before leaving the shop as they are often under cooked and hard. They are also on Door to Door and there is an option for large Red Snapper and chips but guess that never happened as I am always told they dont have it.

I eat at Simple Simon's in Soi 5 off Jomtien Beach Road at least twice a week. Just had Liver, Bacon, Chips and some other Pommie stuff a few hours ago. I think it was 115 Baht and I loved the food. Maybe they have a sub-branch at the Jomtien Complex. I will ask as I don't like to make you sound wrong. :D I also like the Schnitzelhaus a bit further down Soi 5 as they serve very generous portions of good German food. My Scot mate's (Mick) bar, the I.Q. Bar is right next to the Schnitzelhaus. You cannot go wrong eating at Simple Simon's place in Soi 5 in Jomtien or the Schnitzelhaus in Soi 5. The Immigration Office is located in the same Soi 5. :cry2

Yes, I usually eat a Simple Simon's as a part of the trip to Immigration for 90 day reporting. They also have good back bacon and sausages packaged up to take home for a DIY brekkie :clap1
