You can't miss them, they're big buildings full of rooms for rent. :D :D

It all depends on how much you want to spend and what sort of place you are looking for.

To Irish lad, why do you want to be near Walking St ? transport is really cheap and you can get a a decent hotel for 800-1000 baht a night if you look round. I always stay at The Green Park on Nakula Rd. 10 mins in baht bus to Walking St.

hi i am looking for a nice hotel close to walking street

My choice i'm suggesting is n't close to walking street but y dont u try the areca lodge? The website says that the low season rate is 1350 baht for a deluxe room & it includes complimentary breakfast & the hotel has a pool.

And yes.. I heard its guest-friendly,too.

If you want to be really close to Walking Street, there's Secrets Hotel and Bar on Soi 14. A little further afield is the Residence Garden, which you can book via this board. It's only a few minutes away by baht bus.

:gulp

The Captain's guest house on Soi Honey Inn is a great place to stay. Beautiful rooms, helpful staff,24 hour bar + sexy girls. I think prices now are around b500-b600 a day

Forget that Soi for I would say at least 6 months as MAJOR sewage works in "Progress" and knee deep in shit at the moment! <grin :clueless
