Hello all...

My Thai GF wants me to buy a laptop for her so that we can chat and she can use it to do her school work when she goes back to Thailand in November. I don't mind buying her one but just a cheap second hand pc

I've looked around here in Aust and second hand notebooks are selling for around $400AUS...

Is it better to buy a laptop here in Aust or wait till we goto Thailand in November and buy one???? What are the prices for second hand laptops in Thailand????

thanks in advance

TukCom have 2nd hand PC's and laptops for sale.

I can't recall for certain the price, but I'm pretty certain that you should be able to get one for 10,000 baht or less. A printer will also be required but these aren't too expensive for a basic one.

Unless you have a specific reason not to, buy it in Thailand. The main reason is it will be set up to handle Thai language, which she will need. And of course she can always take it to the seller if she has a problem with it.
