Bringing 42" LCD into LOS

I had an opportunity to go to the port customs office in Lam Chebang once to pick up a George Foreman grill that I had shipped from Australia (that old 220 vs 110 issue).

I declared the actual new value, and the guy said, okay, that will be 600b customs duty. I gave him 1000b, expecting change, and he put the 1000b in his pocket and said he didn't have change. He also kept hinting that he wanted to come over and have a steak dinner.

I got my package after that, but what a crooked bunch they are.

Once again I 'feel' for you bro. :D Some guys on this forum laughed when I told them about my bag of coins I always carry. When the BG wants to top off her phone or needs taxi money, I merely point to the bag of coins I gave her that morning. When I go to customs I don't have to worry about the guy making change. Why because I've got all the change he'll need for the week. :bow I love to watch the look on his face as I slowly count out 600 one baht coins. You'd be surprised when I start to double check my count how quickly I'm waved through to the exit. :D
