I am heading out to thailand tonight, I thought I would just go ahead and puchase my ticket for my next trip (May 10th to May 30th )to thailand today. on the eva webpage they want over $1600 for a round trip for there deluxe . Is there an airline that has a similar seat to evergreen deluxe for less money? so far in the last 18 months the fare has gone from around $1050 to $1250 to $1650

You don't say where you're flying from, but that fare sounds expensive to me. Just the other day I was looking at R/T fares from LAX and NYC to Bangkok. Depending on the airline, the fares ranged from around $900 to $1200 and more. Depending on how far you re from those two places, you can probably add another $200.

Any agent will get you United for about $1,200 right now, this month -- from middle North America, not the coast.

$1,600 in five months is ridiculous. Shop around.

Like the other BM here said, you don't say where you're flying from.

Myself, I booked thru an agent here and it was $830, I opted for Economy Deluxe, which was $300 extra plus a $60 additional fee for an 11:40 PM departure time so I could arrive in Bangkok at 11:15 AM. All total it was $1190. (Flying out of LAX, with a 2 hour stopover in Taipei)

airfares go up in April and stay higher intially throughout the summer...look at airfares in March and you will see much lower rates, and some great deals if you're willing to sacrifice 5,000 or 10,000 FFM...

try 610 plus tax roundtrip LAX-BKK when you purchase with 10,000 FFM...month of March...

Yes, the evergreen deluxe seats were really good value but not anymore, same as business class with China were worth the extra money but the rise in prices i think has taken them out of the reach of an average punter like me, now i have to stay in economy :hijack
