Phuket Hotels?

I'm looking for a hotel in Phuket preferably located in Patong. Budget is anything from 1,000bt to 1,500bt. Just looking for a decent sized room with shower and a/c, nothing special.

Try C&N Hotel (not the resort), falls within your price range and is GF.

Just do a search for Patong guesthouses. You should find something in your price range, and the chances are there'll be no joiner fee. Not so with many of the more expensive hotels.

thanks for the advice kev, I'll check the hotel out.

 

To the other guy, asking for feedback in this fourm is different from doing a search, as people might have stayed at a particular hotel and can recommend it.

Note that Patong is often 50 - 100 % more expensive than Pattaya, so you get less for the same money in hotels and restaurants.

I stayed at Valhalla a few years back - it was OK - had pool, beer bar and go-go, and two of the rooms (mine and a buddy) had a jacuzzi - but it took forever to fill the tub. Was decent and priced right.

I have stayed at the Summer Breeze Hotel and the Orchid Residence on Soi San Sabai or the Lamai hotel on Rat U Thit Rd. i can happily recommend them all.

 

the valhalla does look interesting though.

 

if you get there and a place sucks ... move.

 

ie dont pay for all your accommodation up front!
