Hotels in Chiang Mai ??

Will shortly being taking a 3-4 day break in the Chiang Mai area.

 

As have never been before, would be interested if any board members have recommendations for a hotel reasonably priced with a pool, near to the bar areas ?

I usually stay in the Centara Duangtawan.

The Pornping has a pool, disco downstairs as well, reasonable location.

 

Forget how much I paid a few years back, can be booked through Asia rooms I think.

Me too. Good location, nice rooms, great bathrooms and a good breakfast included.

 

You can usually get good rates on-line.

Chiang Mai Gate Hotel has pool, just south of the moat and about 10 mins walking distance to bars. 1200bht in November 2007. Also Free minibus Night Market each night.
