Q: Hotel with Sea View? (other than Sandy Springs)

Recommended Posts

I usually stay at Sandy Springs. Their sea view rooms are really nice. But sometimes they claim that only Suites are available - too expensive for me.

Are there any other hotels that offer sea view rooms? Other criteria would be guest friendly, and showers built such that they do not flood the whole bathroom.I very much enjoy the view - both alone and with my favorite companion.

Thanks for any recommendations.

The AA Hotel in the same street - Soi 13 - has sea view rooms. The best are on the south side. This is the big old yellow-ish hotel right on the corner of Beach Road & Soi 13. It's been poorly maintained for years yet the staff are nice, the little pool is OK. and the sea views form the front suites (more expensive) are primo. The ordinary rooms all have views. Showers don't flood. Rooms have baths (I think), a/c & TV. There's a free breakfast of sorts. The owner/managers are very keeneow, but I enjoyed staying there many times until I moved upmarket and three blocks back to the excellent new Pattaya Bay Resort. Note: I'm not referring to the AA Residence in same soi, almost opposite Sandy Spring.

AA hotel is probably of the mid 90's and i stay on 99 on this hotel, it's right that the rooms are small and certainly not renovared since the opening but for the price and location it's a good deal. Fotos of the rooms from the brochure of the hotel.

Those photos are very old. I took a tour of The AA hotel 2 years ago and THEN the rooms were so ran down they looked something you might see in a skidrow flophouse. It only can be worst by now.
