What's the pharmacy/physician situation in Pattaya?

Recommended Posts

It appears I'll be needing some medical support if I'm to last three weeks in Pattaya.

I found it easy to get full-strength brand-name ED meds at a good price in Mexico.

Other countries, hassles, high prices and ineffective generics/counterfeits.

What's the situation in Pattaya?

And should I need medical attention, what are my options?

Pharmacy busted for selling sexual aid drugs

Boonlua Chatree

A pharmaceuticals shop in North Pattaya has been charged with illegally stocking and selling erectile dysfunction drugs.

Somwang Thamapatpong was arrested for possession of a large quantity of prescription drugs.

Following investigations, officers from Pattaya Police Station went to the Ozone Pharmacy on Second Road during the evening of April 30, where they found the owner, 57-year-old Somwang Thamapatpong in possession of a large quantity of prescription drugs.

Amongst the drugs seized by police were 208 packs of Kamagra jelly, 70 Kamagra pills, and 13 packs of Caverta. Somwang was taken to Pattaya Police Station and charged with illegally distributing drugs.

Somwang said that because his shop is located near the beer bars, foreigners often asked to buy the drugs before going out with bar girls, which brought him a very good income.

In my experience, ED drugs are available at almost every pharmacy. At least, I've only ever been into one that didn't supply, and that surprised me at the time. As far as medical help is concerned, Pattaya has some fine hospitals, and there are many walk-in doctor's surgeries/offices/clinics. So stop worrying, Pattaya has just about everything you'll need.

You might want to look at getting International Travel Insurance. Do not know if you have any medical conditions but if you should become ill or get hit by a car or whatever the insurance would come in handy. Cost should be about $60.00 for the three weeks.

And don't forget to cancel the newspaper delivery, and turn off the gas before you go out the door. Also phone your Mom, you're not that busy.
