Thanks very much for that. As a result of seeing it, I too have booked.

However, although I think the deal is good, it's not as good as it first appears.

Firstly, following your link does not allow (strangely) a ticket for just one person to be booked. I 'phoned them, and the girl I spoke to said it was probably a link to "companion" special offers.

However, using another part of the site to which she directed me, I was able to book a ticket for one person. The opening pages suggested that the price was £476, when it got to the check-out bit, it had gone up to £534. The girl on the 'phone had warned me of this. It seems that Eva have increased their fuel surcharge but not all of the pages on the website reflect this.

So, all being well, I leave late on 28 October and return on 13 November.

Anyone else thinking of booking would be advised to do so soon. Available dates seem to be getting eaten up fast.

Hi

The £476 fare is a special offer when two people book together they get the reduced fare.

The next fare was priced at £487 and was available for one person in October but when i

reached check-out the fare had risen to £534

I had reported somewhere that Eva Airways were about to add £100 fuel surcharges to

there fares. As stated in quote above seats disappearing very fast (BOOK NOW)

Hi Guys.

Don't think we will see these kind of fares for a long time, because of today 19th July

Eva Airways have increased there fuel surcharges by between £40 and £50 on the London

to Bangkok route, now taking the final total of tax charges to over £200 although that is still

way short of what Thai Airways take.

So all you lucky people that booked yesterday well done to you.

I paid £488 for an eva air flight lhr-bkk this morning at www.austravel.com leaving mid september and returning about 3 weeks later

Hi Scotch,

Yes, you have done well to get that price and anyone else that followed you.

Looks like you got that price without the Eva Airways new fuel surcharge added.

Just hope they don't realise this and ask you to pay more.

One question for Tom,have you heard what flights EVA are going to drop from the AMS-BKK route?

I have a flight booked for January 6 and they are still available and the price is dropping.

I want to book a flight BKK-PP but I don't want to book it until I am sure the flight will not be canceled

Its all about the oil price i guess if that keeps going up we just cant tell what will happen,

We need the price to stabilize even if its $150-200 a barrel at least I can make plans or know that

I cant afford to travel.

Booked an Eva flight this morning with Opodo, £499.20, out 9th Oct back 8th Nov, so still some under £500 flights out there.

Don't forget to book via Quidco for 1% cashback back ... every little helps!

:clap1

Just seen on the EVA website that from September they will use 77w planes on the Ams-Bkk rout.

Got to be better than the old 747-400 or the combi.

seems that the flight reductions are for a 3 month trial period and then we will see.
