Golden Sea Hotel soi Buakow

HI chaps,

 

Just wondered if any of our well travelled BMs have stayed at this new hotel on soi buakow.

 

Looks nice and wandered around it wen there last month.

 

Any reports on rooms/ noise/ gg/ lb friendly???

I stayed there in march/april and the rooms are nice.

I paid 1000 baht a night

The place is great for a good night's sleep and the rooms are large and clean, it is much better than the overhyped overpriced noisy dumps that get continuous advertising here.

The pool is fantastic and the staff were very nice.

It is a bit out of the way if your mobility is not so good but a baht bus passes the front entrance heading towards walking street, getting back will mean getting a motorbike taxi

I hawe stayed there some days in Juli.

My room 512, was nice and clean, and i found the hotel in general very nice.

But i hawe some troubels closing the door to my room, the safebox was not fixed to the wall, witch is a big turn off for me.

 

I was not shure about my belonings was safe and moved because the problem was not solved.

 

I littele out of the way, but on the bath bus route, so not a big problem.

I hawe heard other stay on the hotel,, with their room safe fixed was very glad for the stay, defently it is a very nice hotel.

Where on Soi Buakow is it locatad? Near South Pattaya Road? Near Central Patt. Road?

Where on Soi Buakhao is it located?

 

Its half way between Soi Diana, and the Tues/Fri Market site.

Near to Nicky's Bar/ Restaurant, and opposite Sweethearts Bar, I'm sure its called Sweethearts, but its the one that sells Guinness.

 

I checked it out, in Jan of this year, one Sat afternoon.

Round the pool area, were loads of pissed up Russians.

The receptionist who showed me the rooms, said,

'You not remember me?'

'No'

'I work reception at Diana when you stayed there'.

That was THREE years ago FFS.
