Etihad LHR -BKK 350 pounds

Recommended Posts

You made a post about this deal a few days ago gloating about the fact that you knew about it but the details were not yet on the this forum. Another member then asked you to post the details.

However you waited until 15 minutes before the deadline before posting the details - in the hope that people will miss the deadline and then feel bad that they had missed out on a great deal.

Feeling clever?:D

Yes. Actually, I sent the link via PM to the person who asked.

Further to that, I really thought the indirect link was in the Airline section(it turns out that it was on a board very similar to this one), so I thought that everyone was using the indirect link. This one.

So now you know why I wondered no one was checking the travel section for the link. It simply wasn't there. I only noted it an hour or two ago.

Anyway, it's still available now.

I started to book a few minutes before midnight but many of the dates that I tried to book for were not available...so had to keep choosing different dates and this took time.

By the time that I came to make payment it was 5 minutes past midnight....

but the transaction still went through!

Going on October 14th for 1 week. Just in time before I start my new job in November.

£350.20 is the cheapest flight that I have ever had from London to Bangkok by some way.

Thanks. Your still a prick though :D

 I didn't notice the pm (sent yesterday noon) until I saw this thread,so fair enough. What a great offer, wish I'd have known a little earlier but there still seems to be availability, although you have to have a good play around-you can even book your seats!

When you go to the seat plan to select your seats, the planes I am looking at are showing 90% empty,so maybe that's why the offer is still on!

Never thought I would see that price on offer, I guess they must be struggling to fill the seats what with everything going e.g credit crunch, political probs in Thailand.

Anyway,cheers for the info.

Thats amazing £74.00 for the fare. You wonder how they can possibly do this

They've just added additional flights on the Heathrow route and have got to operate the flights or lose the slots at Heathrow. Better to get some revenue and market share, especially during Ramadan.

Pauly77 you say

'you can even book your seats! When you go to the seat plan to select your seats, the planes I am looking at are showing 90% empty'

However, you are only able to check in on-line (and thererfore reserve your seat) no more than 20 hours before the flight is due to depart.

So I am not sure how you saw the seat plan unless you booked the flight to fly out the following day.

No, that's not right. The option to choose your seat was there, you must have missed it.

I think that must have happened in the rush to try and book the ticket in the few minutes before midnight. I am not blaming anyone though 2guns

If it makes you feel better, I also completed a booking a few mins past midnight.

I didn't panic though, as I felt that once I had the seats selected I would still be able to pay for them.

You really should have asked about it if you had noticed that the link wasn't already posted.

Is there a possibilty to select your seats here?: http://www.etihadairways.com/etihadairways...eveBooking.aspx

Maybe a call to your local Etihad office. Make a dummy booking to check which seats are still available and then call their office to obtain them.

:D The offer is still on now.It does say in the heading that Bangkok offer is "extended" despite mentioning 14th Sept deadline also.

You can book flights and view seat plans etc.I'm off to the passport office today to renew my expired one,if the offers still showing when I get back from work tonight, will see what dates are available and take it from there.

If it wasn't for the Middle East airlines, don't think I could afford to go there anymore as flights with others are way too expensive.

Is this offer( using the link provided) available to non London post codes ?

The link bypasses any need to jump through any hoops. Just book as normal.

It was 'Extended' from September the 7th, the original expiry date.

The link itself is not publicly available. It's only on these forums. So maybe it's not been noted. Hard to imagine.

Would appear this offer excludes children 2-12 years. ????

Is this a problem needing a solution or are you looking for loopholes?

I guess in the worst case scenario, you could make a seperate booking with ebookers or the like and pay the extra 50 quid.

If applicable.... Can my child travel alone on Etihad?

We accept children between the age of 5 and 11 years (up to and including the day prior to their 12th birthday) for unaccompanied travel. All you have to do is submit a completed form (to be collected from your local Etihad office) at the time of checking in.

valentinotriplex, it's time for me to admit that I was wrong to have had a go at you over the timing of your posting of the link to the offer.

It is completely my responsibility not yours to look out for any deals or offers for my trips to Thailand.

Even if I had booked in a leisurely fashion I still would probably have missed the option to book the seats because this option does not come up automatically, you have to click on it.

In any case, when I completed the transaction the airline would have booked my seat according to my preferences stated when I signed up for the frequent flyer program and I would certainly have got my choice of seat type (window/aisle) as the flight I booked on to was less than half full.

Should I have been complaining at all given that I made a £50 saving as a result of your tip?

Er, no! If I bump into you in Pattaya I will be sure to put a few beers, Thai whiskeys, or whatever is your favourite tipple, your way.

Thanks.
