Dave "Thai whiskey Dave" was a regular at soi 6 corner bar right ot the end.

and was a great bloke, his health took a tumble at the start of the year and was given 2 weeks to live by a hospital in pattaya, he returned to england where they confirmed his illness and advised him he had only 3 days left! so he rushed back here to thailand and lasted 9 more months !

I met Dave a few times, a larger than life character who kept everyone entertained with his stories. I think he had a motorbike business at one time in Nottingham ( on the Ilkeston Road I think - I only say this because I used to live there), which his brother took over. He lived somewhere off Soi Buhkaow. Last time I saw him was April this year, at his mate Johns Guest house in 'The Village' opp the fire station.

was a report in Nottm evening post, but no mention of cause. But when I saw him ( April this year) last he told me he had cyrhosis of the liver due to heavy drinking and had only been given a short time to live. He was pretty upbeat about it, at the time, and I'm guessing that's wht he died of
