nana tai mansion sukhumvit soi 4 bkk

Recommended Posts

This is a fairly new place, I remember walking past it when they were still building bthe place. It semes to be a good place only a couple of 3 or 4 blocks away from Nana Plaza but still on the more lazy part of the street. The area have really taken a "freshen up" session after this place were opened and you se a lot of the other places repaint and fix up their premises.

I would say go for it, try it out, it can´t be that bad but it maight be great! Good luck!

Its owned by Nana hotel. They sent me to have a look at it when they didnt have any rooms. You stand in the soi and flag down the free tuk tuk they provide because its so far down the soi. Had a look at a room, it was crap, worn out carpet, toilet needed refurbed and they asked for 1200. Unless theyve done it up in the past 2 years, dont book.

Funny you say the rooms were crap when you normally use to stay at the Nana Hotel 2guns

Stayed at the Nana Tai Mansion 2 years ago for 2 nights and i thought the rooms were better than the ones at the Nana Hotel.

Free tuk tuk service from the hotel to NEP (corner soi 4 / Sukhumvit Rd.)

Sorry, but had to warn the BM of what I think is a bad hotel.

I agree with you the Nana has crap rooms. Many would argue with you though. I think what it is with the Nana is that its rooms vary so much. The first room they gave me was unbelievably bad and smelled. I had a hangover from hell the next morning after travelling for 26 hours and then drinking and shagging all night and couldnt have left the vicinity of a toilet, so when they phoned to ask me to vacate the room, I said I would stay for a week if they gave me a good room. A while later they gave me a room on the top floor that had just been refurbed and I took it. When I went to the toilet, they hadnt refurbed the toilet :D Anyway, it seemingly does have good rooms as well as crap ones.

The Nanatai websites photos are really old. Like an old porn mag photos. The rooms hadnt been touched since those days and had the same carpets.

A place I like is swiss grottino on soi 19 at about 2,000 a night but well worth it. Handy for soi cowboy and near enough soi 4. And the Majestic was good and the other one on soi 4 I forget the name of :D

about a year ago i decided to spend my last night in bkk and turned up at my usual haunt, the majestic grande and it was full. We ended up at the nana thai mansion as it seemed to be the only place on soi 4 which had rooms.

Here's the deal, we were knackered and just checked in and they gave us a hideous, worn out room with a death trap cooker at one end of it. We called down and complained and were old they had other rooms for 200 baht more.... these rooms were ok, nothing special but ok.

So i think the moral of the story is to stay somewhere else, but if you MUST stay here pay the extra 200 baht for the ok room.

I stayed at the Nana Tai for 3 nights last February. I tried to check-in at the Nana, but they were full and offered the Nana Tai, who sent down a car to pick me up. A draw-back to many could be what seemed like a half mile walk to Suk Road and the Entertainment area. Their "free" Tuk Tuk, (the driver of which likes a 50 baht tip), seemed to be always available when leaving the hotel but was not around when I wanted to return with girl, thus necessitating a taxi/tuk tuk hire.

The rooms were very run down (even more so than the Nana), but they were clean and everything worked. The restaurent was OK and good value. Really a reasonable choice if your not inclined to look for anything better.
