That article is good advice. I've used points for 4 Bus Class trips to LOS in the last 5 years. That's real value. Don't piss points away on cheap domestic flights.

ANA wanted to waitlist me for a free ticket, upgraded to business instead.

I have not flown first class international since Pan Am.

Damn what a difference. Full lenght bed, etc. Lounge with free booze ,good food.

Article gives excellent advice. Almost blew a bunch of miles on some stupid luggage.
