Hi AC, as an experiment I checked Tigers fares from Perth to Bangkok for the same dates that I booked on Singapore Air today.

 

I dont live in Perth but the fare with Tiger was $721. The connection times are horrific but ok if you live in Perth I guess.

 

My Singair flight is about $1300 but I am flying out of 1 Aussie city and back into another.

 

The main thing i'd worry about is if Tiger will still be doing these routes in 6 months when I am flying.

I have been using Air Asia to KL from the gold coast. they often have specials of $199 all inclusive if you are flexible about travel dates.
