anyone have a decent studio/1br I can rent for May?

I'll be arriving in Patts on approximately May 5th, and I'll be staying until approximately June 1st (give or take 2-3 days).

 

I normally stay at the Sunshine Residences on Soi 8, but I dont feel like dropping 30,000+ Baht for my lodging for the month.

 

Does anyone have any other recommendations? I'd like a place that is close to the Baht Bus route, has a balcony, and has AC. I'm trying to stick to no more than 12,000 THB or so for the month.

 

Anyone out there to point me in the right direction?

You can probably get a condo in Jomtien in View Talay 1 or one of the other cheaper condos for about 10k to 12k on a single month deal. You will have to pay for services on top of that which will run another 2-3k I presume and cleaning / changing sheets / towels (hint here, buy some and launder them in the laundry downstairs as much cheaper than getting them to change everything).

 

Get a crap condo in town or a house past Sukhumvit for 8k.

I bet that in May you could find a guest house somewhere for about that much.

This board has an accommodation section. Try emailing some places and see what they say. Or, do a search of the past posts. Some board members have condos and apartments for rent. Some board members have guest houses.

 

Anyway, things shouldn't be too busy in May.

The Jasmine was advertising rooms for 599bht, so dont take the internet prices as what you might have to pay. And you can get a discount if you dont want the breakfast. Let us know what places and prices you get please.
