What vehicles are used for the airport pickups?

Do your vehicles run on green or white plates?

We have 2 SUV's, a minivan, as well as 4 late model sedans.

As for the green transport tags, all of my sedans have them now, and I have to wait for the green tags on my remaining vehicles. Especially since the SUV's are newly pucrchased, it will take a short time to get the green tags.

Thanks for the info. You should highlight the fact that you are running on green plates ....... could make a big difference to someone if they ever have to submit an insurance claim.

Can you also confirm that the vehicles have full boot space i.e. they don't have a LPG tank taking up half the space.

None of our vehicles have LPG tanks, they are all either diesel or gas operated vehicles. So you would have the full trunk space on them all. I personally don't even feel that comfortable driving in a vehicle that has the natural gas tanks in them, as if you ever got into an accident, the odds of it being fatal, are substantially higher then with a normal gas driven vehicle. I value my safety, my drivers safety, and my customers too much to take that chance.

So everyone understands the difference that Tom pointed out between the green and white tags, I will explain it a little bit. White tags are your standard personal vehicles. If you ever look at the tags on some of the meter taxis, they will usually have a green tag. The green tags are specifically for vehicles to be used in personal transport vehicles, ie taxis, limos, and any vehicle running for a transport company. Sometimes hired drivers, do run on white tags, but that is primarily because it is a part time gig for them, or they are the personal vehicles of the owners of such companies.

Hope that helps answer your questions a bit more.

Public hire taxis run on yellow plates. Green plates are effectively for non-public hire airport/hotel/tourism company passenger vehicles.

The critical difference for Joe Punter is that his travel insurance may not cover him in a white plated vehicle since their insurance requirements are significantly different from those applied to yellow and green plated vehicles.

Correct, the yellow tags that you see on the meter taxis, differ from those of a non-metered taxi (transport car). The same yellow tags are also on the motorbike taxis throughout Bangkok. Although often times, you will see many of the motorbike taxis running with white tags, as well as many of the transport drivers at the airport.

I think it's irrelevant whether the taxi is metered, or not. It's whether the vehicle is allowed to accept public hire that determines the plate colour, hence the songthaews running on yellow plates.

I am really interested in side trips from Pattaya. What have you on offer please?

Anything you can come up with is pretty much fair play. We offer Sak Yant tattoo tours out at Wat Bang Phra, day trips and half-day trips to the Sri Racha Tiger Zoo, the Million Years Stone Park & Crocodile Farm; (the drivers are allowed free entry into these places, and will accompany you throughout the park, great for taking pictures). We also hire our drivers out on a daily basis, allowing you to plan a trip to the village with the tilak, or just for sightseeing.

We are also working on an Issan Tour, in which all of your lodging, food, and transportation will be included. Sort of like a trip to the country with a stay at a host family's home. That would include visiting some of the local Wats, which are quite impressive, as well as any other attractions that the areas offered. Thats still just an idea in the works though at this point, have to work out all the details to make it feesable.

Thanks Mr Dream but I was thinking of say 1 or 2 nights in Kanchanaburi and seeing all the sights there ---for instance. I would also like to do Ko Chang. I am also keen for say 3/4 nights in Siem Reap. These to me will set you apart if you can do it well and at the right price.
