I was looking at flights today with Etihad as well, and there were flights for £380 out of Manchester in middle of October with no more than a couple of hour transfer times.

Any sites guys, looking for Xmas about 15/16 Dec to 3/4 Jan. I know they make the prices up but any Etihad/Qatar with a decent stopover around £1k (Emirates even more exp)

Found Etihad for £870 but 10hr stopover on way back.

Will the prices come down due to lack of demand? I understand at Xmas demand is higher but taking the piss is taking the piss.

Good idea to wait a while before booking for Xmas IMHO. It is a gamble for sure because if the demand is not there then rather than discount the tickets, the airlines are more likely to simply cancel the flights. So how long to wait???? Up to you of course.

I planned to be back in LOS right about now but when I saw the flight prices for the last 2 weeks in July/ first 2 in August, I decided to hang on for a while. It has paid off because I just checked and most of the airlines have dropped to a sensible level again :sosad I am looking at Ethiad £412 from Heathrow 08/09?2009. Question is do I book today or wait to see if it drops any further in price for that departure date?

Nah, bollocks I am booking today :sosad

bbBaz - check out westeasttravel.com. They are not always the cheapest, but worth a look.
