I used to have a regular who worked in Silver Star, she was about 5' 3" size 6 about 45kg. Before she got snapped up we would always call in the beer garden for a drink and food, it would usually be my 1st or 2nd night in Patts so I would always have green curry and she would have steak and chips. I've always told girls I've eaten with order what you want and I'm more than happy to pay but I don't like to see wasted food, I've seen girls with other guys order 5 dishes and leave loads taking the piss and on principle I won't do it. Well done beer belly, good to see you focussed. I started a low carb/higher protein plan January 2005. I started at 28st 3lb (393lb) and passed my target 3rd December 2006 weighing 13st 2lb (184lb) It took 23 months but it would have quicker but I had 3 holidays to LOS in between where I left the diet in the UK. I didn't do any exercise at all just did it by healthy eating. The main tips I would give anyone is eat your meals every 5 hours, dont eat after 9pm at night, although fruit is good for you bananas are lethal with the sugars they have, I used to eat galia melon for breakfast, had an apple with lunch and Blueberries after evening meal. The main tip is no diet/low cal/zero soft drinks or squash in water, just drink normal water (bottle abroad obviously) still not sparkling, not flavoured as full of crap, drink it at room temperature not too cold and if possible 3-4 litres every day. You will need to work around your consumption as it's a pain in the arse going to the loo.

I got the email as flew Bizz with them in Dec 2018. Had a look for December and Bizz around £2250 so £1500 plus the 50% should be enough for flight. Booking Qatar through dream leisure is £1580 and they have the move flight for 2 years if due to fly and return by 31st December 2020 which I hopefully would be doing, however if I did need to move flights I've heard once they have your cash customer service not their strong point so I'm thinking of plan C. Book direct with Qatar which is £1770 but for the extra dealing with the organ grinder not the monkey and the peace of mind is probably worth it, and still getting a flight for less than £1800

I've reached my tipping point and not going this year. I 1st went in November 2005 for a week to get it out of the way to say been there and done that, I was 43 and I think got 72-75 baht to the pound. Since then been twice per year for the following 6 years then once per year for 3 weeks at Xmas but flying Bizz to compensat for only going once. My mate just came back and got 38.2 in Bkk which means a bottle of Heinekan in a beer bar now more than £4 and I can't justify it to myself. I can afford it but 38sh is just too little. i shop around for the Bizz and last yrs got Etihad for £1480. I normally stay in the Mercure and have done for 10 years but standards slipping and last time stopped in Tim boutique ( expensive for what it is but great location and the pool area is great, get the sun all day without having to chase it round the pool at Mercure and was pretty quiet so and the same bed every day ) ive worked out this yr will cost me between £5-6000. I could go economy but in last few years become a porker and could stay in cheaper places but I will be 57 when I go this time so I want something half decent. im looking at either Tenerife or Mexico in December for my winter sun fix, def not same same but until its back to 43/45 I can't see me going back

At night walking around it was really funny to see Pattaya but in 180 degrees. I walked past one restaurant about 10.30 they had stopped serving meals and families all gone, there were about 8 women all on their own on 8 different tables with a bottle of wine each watching a young waiter doing his shirtless dance on the dance floor in the middle him deciding which would take him back and them doing the same, in other bars full of 40/50 something divorced/single women coming out with the same bollocks we do. In a bar I got talking to a waiter and he came out with the where are you from ( he didn't want to shag me just talking) I'm from Barnsley and anyone from outside Uk or below Watford gap has no idea where it is so normally I say between Sheffield and Leeds as they may know them, told him Barnsley about to say the rest when he came out with oh you just up the road from Rotherham and Doncaster below Wakefield, he asked if I went to Barnsley as they were in the Championship (now we league 1 cos demoted last yr) he told me one his girlfriends was from Rotherham and came out a couple of times per year so he did his homework on places nearby so looks like he cares

I've been to Icmeler twice, it's a great place. At the time we were advised not to change money in Uk as rip off, I took cash and changed mine in a shop near hotel and got 10/15% more cash. The locals shops and didn't really like their own cash but can't remember if it was euro or dollars, any change you got was in local currency. 1st time there I met a woman on her own like me staying in same hotel, she was a posh bird who usually stayed in the 5* Aqua hotel 3 or 4 times per year and this time was trying the adults only hotel only a 4 star but kid free so a bit quieter We hooked up for the week and obviously in talking mentioned LOS and pretty much told me I'm a sex tourist, told her I came for the Hooters wings, nice beach, meditation and temples but it seems I'm still a sex tourist. When I tried to tell her that she's a sex tourist as well coming to Turkey and shagging locals, lending them some cash to help them through and as she mentioned buying a couple of them phones she went loopy insisting they were boyfriends and what us middle aged blokes do in Thailand is totally different to what middle aged women do in Turkey. The local beer is Efes and it is a wonderful drink, def recommend you drink that. Would recommend looking at leather jackets, not the shit ones in the market but if you get the bus from icmeler into Marmaris as you drop down the hill and reach the shops there is a place on the right has some quality stuff, it hasn't got all the tourist crap outside just a normal better end shop, go early in the week so if they don't have your size can get it in and be prepared to barter they will drop loads as they mark it up quite a lot

Just booked Xmas through Travelbag. Manchester to Bkk, fly 8 Dec and return 25th night time so I can have Xmas dinner in Los, maximum stopover 2hr 50mins so not stupid times Business class £1455.00 inc taxes Etihad own website was about £80 dearer but I've used Travelbag before so no worries

Just checked my December dates Man to Bkk £2360 for biz, dearer than Emirates and Qatar. The search goes on

I have stayed at the Mercure at least once a year fr a min10 days for the last 10 years. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Patts. The rooms had a refit a couple more of years ago, the beds are massive and in good nick, if there is a downside to the room is a small bathroom and no bath Location is walking distance to WS and a similar walk to Bukhao and straight through the Avenue to 2nd road and coconut bar. The free baht bus 24/7 towards walking street is a big help. If you join the Accor members site they have some good deals everyso often. I had already booked room only for about £53 per night back in August for Xmas and received an e mail Octobertime offering bed and breakfast for £47 ( I had already paid so couldn't cancel) Regards the Indians/Chinese and Ruskies this has changed over the years. A few years ago would get a few Ruskies who are a bit inconsiderate but never any probs. Only ever seen 1 tribe of Indians who insisted on Curry for breakfast and were a bit loud as they didn't control the kids but for 1 day in the 100 or so I've stayed is a minor inconvenience. The Chinese turn up by the bus load and they tend to turn up in the evening so when they checking in can be a bit of a pain but they seem to use one perspective n to check them all in so other staff available. They disappear 1st thing to go on their tours and if they turn up mid afternoon and use the pool they stick together and no probs. I always used to have a high floor (6 or 7) at the rear overlooking the pool but started to have a problem with the air con affecting my throat and now there has been a load of building to the rear but not been back since last Xmas so now I always have a high floor at the front and my throats is fine. Although the road in front of the hotel I saw getting busier it's a decent size car park and a high floor regarding noise is fine. I'm back at the Mercure on the 10th of this month

Although I have booked for 7-26 December with Qatar £502 Man to Bkk when I get e mail or update always have a look. Yesterday on Skyscanner with minimum stopover £436 inc tax. There was no mention of Black Friday offer just a sensible price

Just had a look on Kyak, BKK to KOS in December is about £1100 and a 28 hours flight, I think I will look elsewhere

I hate Agoda with all the tax bollocks, a mate always uses them but I always get cheaper. I tend to use Hotel. Com which seems the most competitive plus you get a free night for every 10 so it makes it 10% cheaper overall. You have to have had the 10 nights before you claim the freebie but having had 2 decent holidays last year and booking another mates rooms I will get 5 free nights this time round

I was ther at Xmas and went 3 times for lunch, on principle I won't pay £10 for 10 wings but the 199 baht wings and 99 baht Heinekan in my humble opinion is good value for money. I didn't bother with the fries as it would all be too much to eat and I asked for drums only so don't have to fuck about with too much bone. I went to the Hooters in Vegas in 2015 and last November and the wings and attitude of the waitresses was much better in Patts. I understand Vegas was much busier than Patts but they are used to it and have people to cope with the numbers but the waitress was shit ( we sought out a different one after the service and attitude of the 1st one) we had to send food back as it wasn't cooked right. If it wasn't such a fattening lunch would have dec gone more often

I got a deal through Skyscanner for a biz class flight with Qatar, Dec 10th to 26th £1470. I got chance to go 2 days earlier so rang them up and to change the date and they wanted about £1140 so I'm still going on the 10th

Is it just me but I thought the Bizz class seat on Dreamliner bit disappointing, when you lay down your feet have to go to a 'point' under the person in front and feels odd

I booked about 3 months ago Qatar bizz class Man to Bkk in April for £1570 return with minimum stop over I'm one of these saddos who has to check now and then to see if I could have got it cheaper and this time round it seems I booked right time and right price. I checked a couple of days and the price is around £2900 which is stupid but makes me think anyone looking to book a flight a sale may be on the cards in a couple of weeks time so they can say 40/50% off or bogof

My mate usually flies Emirates blizz class and goes about 4 times per yr, usually gets the 380 for 3 of the 4 legs Man to Bkk and the last 5 times been upgraded to 1st class on the 1st leg. The last time about 3 weeks ago and he was the only person in1st class

The Mercure is the hotel I stay in on my visits to Patts. It's 18 months since I was there but I'm sure there was also a 'meat BBQ' on another night possibly Weds or Thurs, another massive spread and very tasty.

Stayed here last 10 visits, I always book a double so no joiner fee. If the receptionist or security are new the girls leave id card at reception and when they leave I get a call to make sure everything ok. Most of the receptionists and security guys know me so just say goodnight. I was last there in Dec 2012 and they had just flattened field behind hotel so dont know if they are staring to build something. There was some work going on behind the Pattay Bay Resort but there was little noise and didnt bother me at all. I always have a room at the rear and a high floor so overlooking the pool
