I'm happy with a little gas chamber, I don't want too much... But it seems on the airports the anti smoking gestapo wins to humiliate the poor addicts...

My knowledge:

Kijev ( Ukraine ) A good, wide smoking section

Budapest ( Hungary ) Smoking allowed in the bars

Istambul ( Turkey ) Total ban

I'm interested if someone travelled lately through Zurich ? I have a pretty good offer..

Sorry I can't answer the question about Oslo, but now that most of the UK is non smoking these days I've solved my problems by getting an electronic cigarette from here. http://www.theelectroniccigarette.co.uk

The one I have got is the Titan510. And it is fucking magic.

Can use it on the train, in the pub, at work and also in the airport and on the plane. Gives you the nicotine plus the all important burn at the back of the throat. I often go most of the day without smoking a normal cigarette now; a reduction from 30 a day to about 5.

And no second hand smoke for the non smokers to worry/complain about.

It is supposedly safer than normal cigarettes for smokers as well. It is claimed there are none of the carcinogenic chemicals that are present in normal cigarette smoke. I can totally recommend it as an alternative to suffering the usual flight withdrawal symptoms. Though having said that, if and when I get a fucking great tumour, I'll try and sue the sellers for trying to kill me. :D

There are 22 smokers' lounges in Zurich Airport.

There's also an assisted suicide clinic near the airport for anybody who wants to speed things up a bit. :D

grs,

Thanks for the link. Interesting stuff.

Gabor, You are right , I went through in July and there was a total ban.

I had even paid for a VIP lounge because it said you could smoke there, this was not the case.

Fortunately I never had the desire to smoke. Not only is the smoking bad for ones health it is also costly. This cost savings allows me to sometimes be a LDOP but at least I'm not a LDS.

Some guys at Badboy's work were very in the electronic cigarette but when I went order on e for someone it has this message on the website.

"Due to recent Australian laws, we do NOT supply Nicotine cartridges to customers in Australia."

It does have a link to an oversea supplier for the cartridges so I have order some and see what happens.
