I am planning on visiting South East Asia in the near future. I have deduced from research that Pattaya and Angeles city are the must visit cultural hotspots in the region. I would like to visit both venues on my upcoming trip to ensure that I get to enter the different temples in each venue. Cebu Pacific now seem to be offering direct flights from BKK to Clark for about 10000 inclusive of tax. Have any fellow board members availed of this flight and if so would you recommend it. Are there any direct flights available between BKK and Cebu?

I've been on it. New planes, reasonable prices and the quickest way to get to Angeles. Cebu Pacific is a budget airline so no free drinks or meals but it's only a three hour flight and you can buy a beer and a sandwich.

The only downside is they cancel the service if not enough passengers booked and don't tell you beforehand.

I can tell that you haven't been yet, lol.

Cultural isn't the work I would use to describe Pattaya and Angeles City.

I was in Angeles City last month when a couple of friends return to Bangkok from Clark on Cebu. One left on a Saturday and one the following Tuesday. I think that is the only two days they fly each week, both ways.

As Pattaya Pete said, sometime they cancel flighs as the last minute out of Bangkok, then will put you on their flight to Manila. Now that they only fly the two days, less flights if any are being caneceled. I think the the fare one was just a little over $100 US.

Last month I did a three night side trip to Pattaya from the Philippines using Philippines Air, but had to fly out of Manila and the total fare R/T was $218 at the last minute, the other guys paid about $170 or so, but book earlier.

check their website www.cebupacificair.com for slight routes and times. Have flown bkk to clk many times with them and its very convenient. the planes are nearly always a little late. I think they fly 3 times a week one way and two times the other. They also fly direct from Clark to Cebu so you could visit angeles first and then Cebu.
