Dubai duty free

I'm posting this here because the BMs who can answer will see it.

 

I'm planning to buy an e-book reader and, as I'll be transiting through Dubai next month, I could get it there if the price is right. Does anyone know if Dubai duty free is cheap for electronics?

I bought a laptop there three years ago. It was cheaper than Thailand but on a par or a little bit more expensive than UK.

I am flying via Dubai in December and i did research on the airline/airport/duty free etc.

 

People tend to say that electrical goods at Dubai are not any cheaper than in the UK from

what i can see, plus the fact that if you have a problem, your chances of getting it solved

with a UK company will be a lot easier than trying to deal with a company in Dubai airport.
