Holiday Inn North Pattaya

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys.

Its a few months now since the Holiday Inn on Beach Road has opened and I wondered if any of the Boardies have had any experienceof the place. Rooms, Price, Pool etc etc.

Moreso, What I am particularly keen to know is their guest policy? I am a Holiday Inn Priority Club Platinum Elite card holder as I generally stay in their hotels for more than 60 days in a year.

This gets me free upgrades in HI Hotels and some other priviliges, but i wondered if they would waive the Guest Fee if there is one. Before you shout, "Send them an email and ask" I have to say that my Platinum Status has been earned through my company on business as opposed to private bookings, and I would be too worried that something would get back, if I asked them direct.

I just want to ask if there are any other Platinum members whohave used the HI Pattaya and their experience.

There was a thread earlier that indicated that it was not guest friendly as it was being run by the Erawan Group (or a similar name).

If they aren't guest friendly, you're going to have to ask them directly at some point to waive the joiner fee.

Just book the room for 2 people and tell them your girlfriend will be joining you later. I am also a Platinum card holder and have mongered in many Asian IHG hotels over the last few years and never been approached, even if I was I would just tell them to fuck off.

I was in the Crowne Plaza in KL last week and just about every other guest had a lady from the Beach Club on their arm and no one batted an eyelid.

Hi Guys.

My first post. You need at least one arab in this forum

I just returned from my first visit to Pattaya after 7 wonderful days. We were a group of 4 guys and we all stayed at the new Holiday Inn.

Superb hotel, very friendly staff, and very guest friendly policy. We all had girls almost every night, nobody gave us any problems and we were not charged any extra. We had to sign a form at the reception absolving the hotel of all responsibillities and they kept the ID of the girls at the reception. That was about it.

I had a massage girl follow me to the hotel after her working hours. I arrived an hour earlier, informed the reception that someone is coming to visit room xxxx, signed the pre-requisite form and they let her in with no issue.

Overall a very pleasant stay with no issues.

they also have a glass shower that can fit 2 easily and I am a big guy. I requested extra towels almost everynight and got them on time.

Highly recommeneded hotel.

Try to get an odd numbered room. The even numbered rooms are on the side of the Amari hotel and do not have the very nice view you get from the odd numbered room.

Let me know if you need more information.

Welcome to the forum. Just wondering what your room rate was? Thanks...

Paid 1999 Baht per room, not including taxes, service charges, or breakfast. It was good for the money.

I just took a look at their rates for January and they seem to be up to 4000 Baht. Too much IMHO. I would go elsewhere for that much money.

I believe that the hotel was stretching it at 1999 per night based on the other options available.

I have to mention that the hotel was very quite and that the curtains were suberb and you could get a very dark room. A position IMO.

I stayed there for the same rate end of Oct. Again, nice but not worth more than 2,000 bht.
