The main Glasgow mosque in Mosque Avenue in Glasgow, opposite the sherriff court , had different entrances for men and women. Families have to split to enter. Also Londons biggest mosque has women and men taught in different classes.

Not at all. I have attended meetings twice at the Mosque in London Road Croydon and the second time I was shown around the premises.The meetings had absolutely nothing to do with Islam or the Islamic faith, they were about tackling anti-social behaviour in Croydon. Even reps from the old bill were there. They hire out meeting space to the local community, simple as pie

 

Is it "illegal" ?? check it out. Can they be prosecuted for having separate study classes ?? Jewish Schools have been doing it for decades now.

 

What is odd though, is that the BNP can and so stop black people and non white ethnics from entering their meetings and joining their party, yet at the same time they criticize Muslims for being non-inclusive. Funny old world aint it ??

I am not for one minute suggesting that you made it up, I would just like to see the entire article to see whether there was any balance, especially as those papers are circulated in densely Muslim populated areas. I shall go looky again.

ok lets clear this up its a tradition i dont support but in some mosques women do enter by a seperate door once inside they are seperated from the men by a partition or glass wall. someImams even go to the extreme of making them pray from the balcony others make them face away with their backs to the Imam. on the other hand some Imams let women pray in the same room as men as they did in the day of the Prophet Muhammad. just like the friday is a must for men to attend women dont have to.Its crazy but the reason being is so that women are not seen to be ogling the men at the mosque hence the seperation.

 

As for a Christian being allowed to be shown around the mosque its quite common for this to occur and is encouraged .

 

The more westernised Mulims become the more open women have got with their complaints of this practise. and rightly so, but its a very dangerous thing as radicals have been known to kill women for this in muslim countries.

The article did not draw attention to the absence of the Muslims. That was just my observation.

 

They were conspicuous by their absence, so to speak.

 

Perhaps they do join in now, or perhaps the whole thing has been abandoned, I don't study such things too much.

when did I that ??? Our jails are not "Full of them" if they were then there would not be room for the 60% of white criminals sentenced to custody. Wow this thread takes a lot of reading. Just thought I'd mention that the troubles you guys are having over there are what we are heading to here in the land of oz. We had the Cronulla riots a few years ago, it was basically because of the muslims slagging off our nice nubile young lassies for wearing bikinis and other states of undress on our golden beaches.

 

The local lads had enough of it and decided to 'reclaim the beaches' (their words). All turned ugly and caused quite a shit stir over here.

 

Now that I've mentioned this I think I may wander off for a quiet ale and a lie down. All a bit much for this poor boy.
