for anyone interested,

we stayed at v+m terrace(soi buhkao) on our last visit march 2010 and noticed a sign saying that they would close from may 2010 for 6 months for refurbishment.

i like this hotel lots and for 550-600 baht a night it offers good vfm.

i spoke to the receptionist about the price when they re-opened and she stated it would go up to 700-750 baht a night.

still bloody good value for money in my opinion.

photos below from when we stayed there few weeks ago march 2010

I stayed there a few times and it was just fine, I had better rooms than the one pictured. I was always on the back side with birds and trees outside the window and no street noise.

Location is great and the staff were always really nice and cooperative though there was one pompuey cleaner who was a bit insistent about getting a shag.

I was last there in 2006 when I was going between Hua Hin and Pattaya. I rented for a month, paid 5K + water and electric and left stuff in loom when I was off to HH. My month came to 6700 all in - 216THB a day. Hard to beat.

I looked at this place last summer. I was shown a room with chunks of paint peeling off the wall and a plastic settee. The bathroom/ shower area was terrible as well. It was one of the worst rooms I've been shown in Pattaya.

Well overdue getting gutted and refurbished from what I've seen. It is a good location and has potential with the pool to be quite nice. But needs some money spent on it as they must have realised themselves.

Has anyone stayed there recently? I have to be in Pattaya on August 31rst. I use to stay at this place before they closed for remodel. The location is excellent, and they have a car park.

Looks good for the price and how did it work out with the maid?

I avoided her, she was a K-9 plumper! Tried for a cute receptionist but didn't get anywhere even though I bribed her with my Lonely Planet dictionary!
