Always wonder why they cannot show the price which includes the 7% vat rather have a headline 495 baht

and the you have to piddle about adding 7% which makes 529.65 baht ????

Yes, the UK has umpteen percent VAT and we like to hide it in the price already...

I prefer the vat to be included in the price that is shown, rather than hidden at the bottom

of the page.

 

Our vat is 17.5% and due to rise to 20% in January, most of Europe has 20% and Irelands

is due to rise to 24% in 2014 i hear.

Yes, that is a ridiculous amount that we all have to pay over and above the fair price.

As a %of GDP total taxation the UK is 37 %... less than some countries yes, but more than many others including Ireland, USA, Japan,Oz Switzerland, NZ.
