Flights waiting time ?

Recommended Posts

I leave 4hours early for what should be a 1 hour drive. Baltimore to Washington traffic sucks. Im always a wreck , if i miss my flight im done for at least 24 hours.

Finally got wise this trip and will only fly out on Sundays. Also a fan of fastrack now at least at BKK.

When are back in Patt's Steve?

I would guess having to be there 2 hours before departure was for the domestic leg of the flight and that counts towards the Federal regulation requiring all passengers on International flights to check in 3 hours before departure. As I always comply, I don't know if it is really enforced or not.

No such federal regulation

Exactly.... I often book a Sunday AM flight and have a rental to return to the airport.

No worries....

Turns out you are correct, which I found surprising given the U.S. government's habit of sticking their nose into every aspect of our lives. :chogdee

Having been told that by a well seasoned traveler shortly after 9/11, I assumed it to be a govt. regulation. Apparently it is up to the airports and/or the airlines.

"How much time should I allow before my flight?

SFO suggests that you check with your airline directly for its recommended arrival time. For domestic flights, most airlines suggest arriving two hours before departure. For international flights, most airlines recommend arriving three hours before departure."

Steve, please let us know how it you do at Sabai Resort, nearby bars etc. I'll be back for Feb. Staying at the Areca, 1690 baht.

My trip are getting longer so would't mind cheaper alternatives.
