I always thought only Americans and Australians were dedicated steak eaters and the Brits and Irish preferred grilled mutton with HP sauce and spuds. :allright

 

 

Can't stand HP sauce myself but love a good steak. If a Steak is cooked right then you don't need a sauce with it.

 

But good Steak in Thailand don't go together as a rule.

 

I had a good T-Bone in New Inn Soi Kaotalo the other week but then a little after had a Sirloin and found it a bit griscelly (spelt wrong)

I don't mind gristly steak and a bit of chewing as long as the steak tastes nice. I still have all of my own teeth. I also dislike HP sauce. It was invented by the English and was gobbled up by the American Heinz company. Heinz took over Australian Vegemite as well. They are now manufacturing Vegemite Lite, probably because they cannot handle the real stuff. I have seen Americans eat steak covered in tomato sauce and marmalade. :rolleyes: To all the restaurant owners. Feed the men beef and lamb from Australia or Kiwi land.

Bruno's reckon they sell the "best beef steak you'll ever have" :thumbup Wagyu "Kobe" tenderloin for a paltrey 2000 baht per 7 ounce steak :nod . Not sure if that comes with chips tho' :rolleyes:

If you regard a burger as steak then perhaps you are correct.

I always felt the Americans enjoyed their steak pre-chewed!
