I am all for increased options but Manchester Term 2 is beginning to be as bad as Heathrow for queues.

Don't Emirates and Etihad operate out of T1? I thought they had both opened their own lounges there.

This Autumn Manchester will see a 50% capacity increase =- 4900 seats per day in/out with the middle east carriers.

A330-200 to be replaced with B777-300ER or A380 later in the year.

Looking at a Biz Class for May, ex BKK. So far Ethiad look best pricewise... and includes a limo.

Qatar next at 10k baht more, no limo but a better transit and in-flight they are superior.

Emirates are yet another 20k baht, just too much at 119k.... I am keen to try the A380 but hope to see a better price.

Forgot to mention Emirates have brought forward the start date for the 3rd daily service to 1st May.

No doubt the recent announcents from Qatar/Etihad have forced Emiirates to bring forward their schedule.

If you get a decent price for the Emirates A380 in business jacko go for it. I recently did a trip back to the UK (LHR) in business on the A380, absolutely fantastic service and amenities on the big bird.

More competition should mean cheaper flights..... I managed to find a flight for £471 in May with Etihad.

The early Emirates flight gives a 3hr layover in DXB before onward travel to BKK... arriving @ 08:20....... could mean waiting for rooms to be ready, but you get a full day in Pattaya to start a trip off with!

 

My Etihad flight in May lands at 07:05!!!

i dont mind what time i get there dont even mind a 2 hr stop over its when its 12 or 24 hrs the flights long enothe as it is.the one we normally use leaves at 9 am thur & gets to bkk 7 am fri was going to book but think i will hang on for a bit now.
