Hi folks, on Late rooms.com in the UK, you can book rooms in Pattaya, and everytime I look the cheapest is Joe Palace, 245 33 Moo 12 Jomtien Beach Soy 18, followed by the Sawasdee chain at about £11 per night.

But this Joe Place is only £2.01 per night! I looked for 14 nights in May. Thats about 90 baht. per night. King size bed, maid service, but no mention of shower/wc in room though.

Has anyone stayed there? the website and pictures make it look 4*, methinks too good to be true.

Certainly sounds cheap,do you think they have an outside long drop at that price?

Always a risk unless recommended by a known someone.

I would certainly think that it is too good to be true TBH. I have never seen a place as cheap as that in all my years in Thailand. If the poud was still at 70, that would be about £1.20 per night. At that rate they would probably loose money. I would double check this place, make be ask a local here, to go check it out, because that just sounds too good to be true mate. The Sewasdees are cheap, but most of them are also shit holes too. There could be a misprint in their information or the info they have dispatched to Late rooms.com

I just took a look out of interest and did a dummy booking for 15 days in June. The cheapest, which is a single room works out at 300 baht per night

If you look at the picture, it has a single bed in it :allright OK I guess, if you are not expecting company

If something sounds to good to be true, it usually is. Why do people book rooms for 14 nights in a place they have never been? If it's a cockroach infested shit hole, you are stuck in it, your whole holiday. Book for a few days, if it's acceptable, extend your stay. If it is not, you can find someplace else.

Certainly risky when super cheap.

Yes, it looks too good, but at £28 for 14 nights (about 1,500 baht) I'm tempted to book and pay for it online and take a chance.

Notwithstanding doubts about the actual price you should check out the location. Soi 18 jomtien beach is a long way out if you are planning on hitting WS most nights.

Cheers

I think that if he need to save on a room that badly, he isn't likely to be someone that would frequent Walking street. Just taking a baht bus home at night would cost as much as his hotel. So would a beer for that matter. Learn a little Russian, and you might really enjoy your stay in Jomtien.

I'm looking forward to the trip report.
