I am now officially rooting for a Predators/Lightning final. thumbup

If you do it right now, you can probably beat the bookies out of a tidy sum, Vic.

Yeah, very classy. Yeah, sure. My error. Vancouver fans are very, very classy. How could I ever think otherwise. Anywhere else, they would have booed a LOT more and had MUCH bigger riots, probably wit

Well............. Wings too rested or Sharks for real?

I'd love for it to be the latter but as a longtime fan I've learned to be a tad pessimistic this time of year. I'm mostly worried about their defense holding up.

Never mind, you've got Joe "Heart of a Lion" Thornton in the lineup. :thumbup

The Bolts are up 3-0 against the Caps, they've won 6 games-in-a-row, dare I mention the "S" word? whistling

Caps simply don't want it. They're just handing the Lightning the victories. They trip, they fall, Ovechkin tries to stickhandle and simply overskates the puck, leaves it right there to a three-man rush. It's a Washington disease.

Jason Spezza has the 2nd most horrible contract after Scott Gomez. Both of these underachievers are untradeable. Heatley should be paid half because he's a one way player.

So I'm watching the Boo-ens stick it to Philly and I have to say for Philly, I haven't seen that many important turnovers in a game since, well, the Capitals yesterday. Jeez.

Tampa Bay just went up 5-2 with 3 minutes to go. Well, at least Steve Yzermin is their GM.

Caps crap their drawers again. Boudreau will get the chop because its easier to can the coach than the players.

The Bostons look tough. I was hoping the Flyers would exact revenge for me but it ain't gonna happen. I'm saying da Broons take out the Bolts.

Is there a reverse version of the "Jaws" theme? Some music played that indicates the shark is about to go belly up? If so that's the music heard in San Jose after game 5. Up by 2 goals in the third period, the Sharks looked like they were gonna close out the series. Then they gave up 3 unanswered goals and end up losers. Now they'll play game 6 in Hockeytown. Yikes.

It must be spring the Swoon Jose Sharks are getting ready for their annual tank. Wings have momentum going back home and they are a veteran crew who know how to win.

Canucks are stupidly going to game 6 against a team they should have offed in 4 or 5. This is not how a cup winner plays.

I think the Wings have just tossed the scuba tank in the shark's mouth. :allright Remains to be seen whether it will explode.

Does anyone recall whether the Eastern Conference is participating in the playoffs this year?

Yeah. What he said.

The East doesn't match the West, kind of like the NFC doesn't stand up to the AFC. One or two or three teams, though... The Bruins are absolutely peaking and TB can certainly whip any of the four western teams on any given night.

On the other hand, it's good live in a stable, mostly predictable world where the Caps tap out, the Sharks fold like a cheap cardboard box....

Biggest single surprise for me was the Ducks. But the Lightning really came from nowhere on my charts for sure.

I thought the Ducks had a real dark-horse shot but what do I know?

TB looks like a "soft" team to me but haven't seen enough of them to be sure. I sure like the way St. Louis plays.

Neither Vancouver nor SJ have the royal jelly to me.... but what do I know?

Gentlemen, may I recommend the shark fin soup. It goes well with octopus.

Detroit scored three goals in the third period . . . again. :thumbup

How many chances has San Jose had to win this series? How many times have they done this in the play-offs? :D

Lots of uneasy Sharks fans waiting to see what happens in game 7. :chogdee

I ain't betting, but if I was, my money would be on the Wings.

Sharks were complete crap last night though it was a highly entertaining game, 0-0 after two periods. But Wings could have/should have had 2 or 3 more. Cleary on a breakaway fakes Niemi completely out of his jock and... hits the fucking post!

Then somehow SJ gets a goal! Amazing, they were manhandled for 40+ mins looking like peewees and they stumble into the lead.

But in true fashion they folded with 10 mins to go. Not a championship outfit. Wings are pros.

Yeah, Sharks look miserable, very uncomfortable that they might actually win. Give San Jose the golf players it so richly deserves, let's get on with it. Have to pick Vancouver for the final now, I guess, I can't see Detroit, certainly not Sharks beating them. Narrowed down to this, the East actually has the better teams, all in all.

Second period of Sharks-Wings was the most entertaining of the whole playoffs that I've seen though. Good fun, end-to-end stuff. Those old geezers looked pretty good. Mike Modano ferkhrighssake!! What is he, 62, 64 years old now? Jeeze.
