Has anyone ever bought those DVD's that are for sale along Beach Road & Walking Street ? do they work in U.K ? We only have a PS2 to play them on at the mo'.

I have bought some moody CD's and they can be a bit iffy. When I stayed at Penthouse Hotel, was tempted to try a naughty one, but not sure if it would work back home.  :D

All the XXX DVD's are region free so will play anywhere, even on a PS2 in the UK.

Most of the pirated DVD's are also region free and so will play anywhere.

Do yourself a favour and buy a budget DVD player that plays all regions, then you'll not have any problems.

Well I bought a 'Beach Boys Live in Concert' DVD when in Pattaya in October and still cant get the sodding thing to play despite having 2 region free DVD machines in the house :-[ :-[

You know nothing.

The Beach Boys are commonly acknowledged as one of the worlds best groups and as songwriters, the Wilsons are still up there on a par with Lennon/McCartney.

And just to show my eclectic tastes in music I just bought "The Seekers 25th anniversary concert" Video

Lovely bit of music.

I bought a shit load of blue movies and the lastest movies that are not yet out at home! I bought them outside of a photography shop! on beach Rd! near soi pattayland 1! I had no problem with my copies! but my mate bought his down the road from me! and had nothing but problems! the reason being I bought from outside the photo shop was because I thought with it selling cameras, and digital shit! they would be good quality! I think its a hit and miss situation! but for that price! Its worth it, IMHO!

If your worried about buying a shit load of duds! then buy one or two and ask to play them on your TG dvd player! thats if she is lucky to own!

But I think Lol is right! the budget dvd player! far better chance to play multi regional!

I bought 5 DVD's and all of them seem to have a "snag" while watching...Plays good, then stops for a brief moment, then continues.  It does get annoying.....

Crackpot,

You've got some good taste in music there. I've got the Seekers' video as well. I also managed to get a ticket for the Edinburgh concert of their final final farewell tour in 2000. Great concert! The Playhouse Theatre where the concert was held was sold out.

Beach Boys are pretty good as well.

Thanks lads for all the info'

I have a mate with DVD player in Pattaya, what I'll do is go to the places recomended, then try them out. Dont know what his house guests will think of it, but they can always leave the room.

Crackpot, Enuekman- As far as I am concerned, there is only one member of the Seakers that I could pick out in a crowd, yep Judy - THAT IS A WOMAN, she could take me to the promised land anytime, not a bad singer either.  :D

In the 60's I played with a group that was on the same show as The Seekers and I had the pleasure to meet them all. Judith Durham is tiny !! Lovely Jugs though, problem is when she speaks its just like listening to an old Oz 'ocker'.

Played Knebworth in 1980 in Mike Oldfields band with the last 'full' Beach Boys lineup. They were amazing, sent shivers down my spine listening to them
