I would agree with the prices, but you get what you pay for and I would not use the word "Quality" when describing CDs. More like value for money perhaps. All the old codgers and nonses tend to eat i

I like their toasties

:yikes: I thought they were the worst I had ever eaten. The 7/11s do better toasties.

I don't usually eat in cheap western places as you only get what you pay for. Dave's is so cheap, it is obviously poorly sourced ingredients. The cheapest money can buy. Same as the 7/11 probably. That's only when I'm in the middle of nowhere and starving.

1/10.

I often eat in cheap Western places and find the breakfasts in CD's as good as those anywhere else for a similar price. It's a good English style cafe selling English style grub at very reasonable prices. It's open all night as well as all day and Only Fools and Horses or Fawlty Towers is on the TV all the time.

Top quality British cuisine at affordable prices.

Must agree with the OP, the fat bastard breakfast at 110 baht is almost impossible to beat on value for money. Where else in pattaya can you get an full English breakfast at 6am if you feel the urge.

As far as quality I have never had a problem there with any of the meals. I am sure the cheap Thai places are not buying the highest quality ingredients at Carrefour either. I am not a big fan of their sausages but they include black pudding which evens it out for me.

I must admit its been a few years(5 or 6 years) since I last ate in CDs and it will be an even longer time before I eat there again.I love a greasy spoon but I like the food to be at least edible and I left quite a bit of the only breakfast I had there, the sausage was awful the bacon was almost all fat and the rest was swimming in fat.I can say that the black pudding was the best I have tasted in Pattaya but as it was not good enough for me to buy it at home even that would not entice me into his establishment again.

how can you beat crazy daves

good food at good prices

fools an horses on the tv

quick service

happy staff

9/10

Had the 75 baht breakfast this morn. Was quite pleased. Good amount of food for the money, all hot and fresh. Only thing was waitress could have been in a better mood and the hashbrowns I ordered on the side were of the pressed, frozen portioned variety.

They cook their fried bread in Tractor Oil, or perhaps from the sump of Dave's old blue pick truck

Most of the customers seem to have passed that stage and are at the thirsty/hungry red eyes and a headache symptoms.

A greasy fry up seems to help and that is what you get there, cheaply. No shorage of takers so something is being done right. Last time I went there was because the girls in Canterbury Tales couldn't be arsed doing my breakfast.

I reccomend Daves 75 baht breakfast. Alot of food for the money and it was hot. No cofffee refills though and that waitress could use a personality make over.

Yeah that face could curdle milk.

I don't know why a hangover makes me fancy that 75 baht plate of grease, normally I would be repelled by it.

I put so much HP on it there could be anything on that plate.

I think most of the customers must be fickin zombies, it is total shite and thats being generous, why not go to the sea side, the breakfast there is better and about the same price. If anyone is that desperate to eat that shit , they deserve to be ill

I was in the Seaside last night (the one near the beach, not Soi Chaiyapoon.). I think the place is going downhill. All the staff seem to be dopey kids.

Last year when I had breakfast (usually between 11am-1pm) I went to Crazy Daves or Canterbury Tales. I didn't have any great problem with either place. This year as I was staying at Chow Soy (opp Canterbury Tales) I had breakfast there ( no problem) but also had the breakfast (with expat friends) at Ned Kelly's in Soi Lengkee, couldn't fault that either. This trip I probably had more brekkies (when I bothered) at Ned Kelly's. PS I'm not a fussy eater. It's not a high priority when I'm on holidays, if someone else is cooking I don't give a f@%k. lol
