I have been there, on 2 occassions last year, but to be honest it is a poor venue for viewing the action.I do have some mobility problems but I found that the public areas were only really on the finnishing straight so you dont get to see much action because its a level circuit you can only see whats in front of you.there is no English spoken on the PA so you have no idea what is going on.It is cheap tho and it was something to do other than sit in a bar all afternoon long, but I think it will be a long time before I go again. There is a large uncovered stand at the last corner and that is quite high so you might get a view from there but I cant climb all those stairs. It is worth a try on a slow afternoon as you can always leave if you get too bored and it won't cost much if you do.

Well it is certainly cheap enough, when I went it was completely free.

It was about 3 weeks back, I think it was the 29th May. I was able to walk over the bridge and get to the pits which was great as a friend was racing. This was 1000 cc bikes. You are correct that I couldn't really see what was going on behind but I was able to get right up next to the track. being right on Rt 36 makes it easy to drive to and park.

Next meeting is 3rd July, election weekend, so if the bars are closed it might be a good day out.

Mind you there are a lot of twisted individuals go there, I was oggling up the pretty girls carrying the countdown cards, but most of the others were looking at bikes and touching themselves up. :D

I had forgotten about the pit walk as I can't do that now ,with my arthritis its to far for me to walk.Even with the pit walk It would have been a little disappointing after having been to places like Brands Hatch, where if you stand in the right place you can see most of the club circuit and Silverstone and Le Mans, where you can walk to many different parts of the course and see a lot more action.I paid IIRC 100 baht so at that price you cant go all that wrong.

PS.I know the places I mentioned are a lot more expensive than Bira but if you cant see the action the price don't matter.

It is on Highway 36, Pong District I think, just past the Motorway junction heading towards Rayong.

If you know how to use Google Maps punch this in.
