My meal cost me about £20 last night. A fresh small grouper steamed, Tom Yam Kung, fried morning glory, a large Leo, a water and ice. A bit pricey as I ate in the AC section... yes in Thailand. :whistling:

Do they charge extra to eat in the AC section? :clueless

£8.95 Somtam in nottingham!

How much is thai food elsewhere?

I've found that it's usually pretty pricey in the UK (although I am sure there are exceptions). Seems to be more expensive than Indian and Chinese restaurants, perhaps because there are less of them about.

I end up looking at the menu and thinking how much cheaper it would be in Thailand but still like a bit of Thai food in the UK every now and then.

At this place we believe they do, couldn't find it itemised on the bill but both times we have eaten behind the glass the bill has seemed 100 baht or so more.

Yeah .... i think I'm being unfair here as its not apple to apple. The pic was taken outside a resturant so maybe I should compare it with another resturant in Thailand , like the place you ate with aircon. I also noticed Gregg's sells a sandwich and a coke for £1.99

Thats why its difficult to have anything thai anywhere else thats more expensive when I know it cost only a fraction in thailand itself. Crazy I know but thats the way my corrupted mind works! :hairout
