The London Metro free paper had a story about a Pattaya BG who was meeting her Brit B.F. at BKK airport. She was pregnant by another Brit and recently gave birth. Just before the plane landed from LHR, she strangled the baby and dumped it in a waste bin, jumped on a flight to Kho Samui with the new arrival and when police caught up with her, she and he, were walking along the beach at Kho Pangang.

 

She had to be helped onto the flight by two other passengers as she was suffering from stomach pains- no kidding.

 

She told police, she didn't want her new bloke to know she had a baby.

Not the story. I certainly don't know all the details, but the baby-killing and airport part in general is fairly recent and true.

Sad to say it’s true according to media reports, saw it on PDN the discovery and the subsequent follow up with the said BG. But site seems to be down for the moment so cant find it to link it.

Yeah you see this a lot in Thailand, a few times a day at least. And it's only in Thailand, no western English mother ever killed her kid.

 

Mind you, it's not as frequent as a poster taking the opportunity for a cheap shot at the whole country for one sick act.

Here we go again. No joe, I thought it was so filled with questions, to be untrue.

 

We have several incidents lately, of mothers killing their kids here in the UK - No I don't mean honour killings.

 

Only the other day a mother of eight, was arrested after police found the decomposed corpse of her 4 yo in a cellar. it is becoming more common here. These incidents are more realted to marriage break up.

 

I also doubted it to be true, as no other BM had mentioned it. Had both Boyfriends not been Brits, it would not have been in a London paper.......

 

Any one say anything negative about Thais and JoeK Defender of the Realm steps in. Joe, let me make this clear. Posting about one individual, does not encompass the whole population as you keep inferring it does. We are intelligent enough, to know this for ourselves.

Pretty hard for bleeding heart agencies to compete with drug stores selling them for 20 baht. So far as teaching, there are several very, very excellent bleeding heart agencies doing just that - which is why birth control is OTC, no bleeding heart agencies necessary at that stage.

 

I have no idea what "the uneducated BGs in Pattaya" have to do with one woman killing her baby. Or do you agree with Montydog that this is a huge national problem?

If they were educated to use birth control it might not have been a problem, but I guess most BGs spend all their off time sleeping & wouldn't be caught dead going to learn something (especially if there's no free food or some sort of pay), heaven forbid !

Yes I agree, that makes more sense, she dumped the kid in a waste bin in Bangkok Airport.

 

I am still sleeping odd hours after my recent arrival in Bangkok. I spent the whole flight frightened to open the toilet waste bin.
