Displayed prices are for multiple nights. Check the site for price per night. I see hostels starting at 200b/day and hotels from 500b/day on agoda.

Having stayed on Soi LK Metro numerous times, I have often walked by this place but never had a look at the rooms.

My current trip was put together quickly without much time for planning. That and the fact that I wanted to use my credit card somewhat limited my choices in the area. I decided to book with Agoda.com as I had a few thousand points with them that I could use to save a few dollars on the cost of the room.

I tried to find some info on this place but with few results. What I did find was mostly positive so I decided to book. Their website is very limited and the prices they list are surely way above what any room here is worth.

For this deluxe room they quote 2500B per night (aproximately) but I booked it thru Agoda for 1200B/night. I would bet you could probably get it cheaper as a walk-in. They seem to be associated with the LK Metropole as you can have access to their pool and exercise facilities. The towels are also imprinted with the LK Group logo.

I like this room very much and personally can only find two things that are somewhat annoying. As this room is on the Soi LK Metro side of the building, you will hear the noise from the bars below until they close. The windows and door do not seem to have any sound dampening qualities at all. As I tend to stay out late most nights, this hasn't been a real problem for me.

Secondly they have an intermittent water supply problem. Mostly my water pressure is fine but at times it has slowed to a drizzle even though it lasts only as few minutes before it is back to full pressure.

Other than those two, the aircon is fine and the bed is comfy.

I think you did quite well considering that the location is good and that you have use of both the pool and the gym at the LK. I have indeed heard of some who dropped in and partook of the breakfast next door as well. There is a caveat to this and that is that the smaller rooms are indeed small and I believe that only the room you had or similar would be worth considering.

I stayed in standard room, 800b in may 10, room good if a little dull, shower excellent, no joiner fee, access to lj swimming pool, which was great and the gym and sauna(which we didn't use but looked good). I moved after a 7 days to Kilkenny because I like to stay above a bar, I like to wander down for a coffee or beer and have friendly faces to chat to. I also like a DVD player in the room, which keerati didn't have, not to watch movies, sometimes like to throw a porno on while I'm fucking, but thats just me :whistling:
