Cost of hiring jetski &/or speedboat?

Can anyone advise on the cheapest price you will be able to pay for the following:

 

A - One hour's hire of a jet ski at Jomtien (say, 2 people)

 

B - Half a day's hire of a speedboat out to one of the islands (say, 4 people)

 

Does it depend on the number of people, for example?

 

I know you have to bargain (like most things!) but I'd like to know how low the people managing these things are prepared to go

as far aas i remember it is 800 baht an hour for jetski, its a fixed price i think

 

as for speed boats, its 1500 to go to an island and back , u might get cheaper, thats a standard tourist price i think, i dunno about hiring a speedboat for half a day.

That's a deal compared you'll pay that, or more for 1/2 hour on jetskis in Mexico.

If you only want to go to the island you can get a ride on one of the scheduled boats that leave from the pier.

 

I think the cost is about 40 baht one way.

:P if you rent one  check the gas tank for gas. some have been known to short it a bit. but they just happen to have tow service out there for a few baht more to get you back. other wise good deal compared to south of the border beaches.  if serious for fun jontiem is a bit cheaper.  enjoy your stay, ;D ;D ;D ;D
