View Talay 6 is my favorite location in Patts, and I've used condos there from Dancewatchers for the last several trips.

Just search Dancewatchers on this and the other major boards and you'll find a lot of reviews from BMs, including myself. The fact that I keep using Dancewatchers tells you that I've been pretty happy there, and most all of the other comments from other people have been pretty positive as well.

Pricing was much better than comparable quality from any hotels I've looked at over the years.

But one special tip - the entrance from Beach Rd has a locking gate that requires a room key. So you have to remember to tell your girls to always exiit via the front of the building to 2nd Rd.

I've rescued a number of poor girls looking forlorn and stranded that tried to go back to Beach Rd and were locked in (but unlocking the gate for them is a nice way to pick up some more phone#s ;)

View Talay 6 is one of the more pricey condos due to its excellent location. Especially the ones with a sea view. I stayed in one for two weeks last trip and I loved it. Everything you need right there in he building; massage, cafe, laundry, minimart. I rent motobikes and always felt safe to leave my bike in the garage. Security watches the garage at all times.

I think it'd great for a long stay, if you're ok with the price.

Is it the joke of the day?

Depending of view/floor/season you can find rooms there in the 11-14,000 baht range

if you talk with the owner, not with an Internet company.

It's certainly not so pricey and VT6 poor quality would not allow high prices for long term rents.

You will find higher prices in many newer condos allover Pattaya.

Or you can walk a few sois to the North and check if you can get

anything to rent for less than 40,000 baht in NorthShore... ;)

I will be staying for two months and would like a room for mate for two weeks

What do you mean by pricey, Indefix suggestin 14000 plus costs., sounds very reasonable.

One of the reasons I've been renting from Dancewatchers over the years is that they include various other services, like maid service, that help save time & minimize hassle during my trips. For example, they're also providing me with a phone & good quality camera as well as offering motocycle rentals these days.
